Things We Need to Keep in Mind!

Dogs at the Hotel: Dogs are welcome in the following areas: guest rooms, terrace, garden, and the fields and meadows surrounding the hotel. Access to the dining room is limited – allowed in the "Stüberl" (traditional lounge).
Dogs are not allowed in: the sauna, the pool, the riding stables, and riding arenas. Use of the dog training ground is allowed.

Please also note that dogs must be kept on a leash in all public areas of the hotel.

Even though we love dogs, we want to make this clear: We are a dog-friendly hotel, but not a dedicated dog hotel.
Dogs are not allowed to jump into the pool and are not permitted in beds. We are happy to provide a cozy dog blanket so your furry friend is comfortable at night

Dog Etiquette

  • We kindly ask that your dog takes care of its business at a reasonable distance from the hotel.
  • If your dog accompanies you to breakfast or dinner, please keep it on a leash and ensure it stays close to you, preferably under the table. There will be plenty of time for play later. Not all guests are comfortable when dogs initiate play during meals or run wildly across the terrace or dining area.
  • Please keep your dog on a leash in the hotel and throughout the entire premises.
  • We provide your furry friend with a dog bed and blanket so they can sleep peacefully — and you can keep your bed to yourself. Please understand that we may charge for damaged linens or for cleaning heavily soiled bedding.

  • Especially in summer, please keep your dog on a leash when walking in alpine areas. Mother cows protect their calves.
  • Please note: our own dogs also live on the premises. Peaceful coexistence is expected.
  • Muzzle required in gondolas.
  • 24-hour veterinary emergency service available in Zell am See.
  • Water hose available for cleaning paws after walks

Regulations, Code of Conduct & National Laws

When entering from another country, please observe the following national regulations: Microchip | Veterinary health certificate | Dog breeds prohibited for travel according to national law | General rules of conduct in public areas.

Yellow Ribbon

If you see a dog wearing a yellow ribbon on its collar or a yellow bandana, please keep your distance. The yellow color signals that this dog does not want close contact with other dogs or people — or may not tolerate it well. We kindly ask you to respect this signal.

Legal Requirements for Dog Owners in Austria

In Italy, rabies vaccination is mandatory for dogs.

In Saalbach-Hinterglemm, dog waste must not be left behind. Always take the provided plastic bags with you on walks. These bags are available free of charge at the reception. Your fellow humans and the environment will thank you!

More detailed information about Austrian laws can be obtained at the reception
